Con la cancellazione del titolo Fable Legends, Microsoft affermò di essere in trattative per la chiusura di Lionhead Studios.
Da quel momento, in tanti hanno manifestato solidarietà agli ex dipendenti della software house, la cui chiusura dovrebbe avvenire, sfortunatamente, a giorni. Questo ha scosso gli animi dell’industria videoludica, soprattutto quelli di Naughty Dog e BioWare, insieme a tante altre software house come Santa Monica Studios e Sucker Punch, le quali hanno chiesto agli ex dipendenti di candidarsi per le posizioni attualmente vacanti.
